Our new user workflow, created by Oceanlog, manages and tracks containers and their
contents from onshore to offshore.
HARDWARE
BEACON CASING
Finished and assembled beacon, as shown by the exploded view. The casing is a 3D printed shell that houses the electronics inside and is ergonomically designed for our users.
SOFTWARE DESIGN
USER INTERFACE
With a clean and human-centred design the software is intuitive to use. It merges every important step from the workflow, including a live updated overview of the drilling platform status.

USER TESTING
User testings are vital to determine whether a product fits the user needs. We introduced Maersk staff to our user interface to test if the workflow fits the current one. We tested specific features and the feedback led us to new insights and adjustments of the user interface, to make it even more convenient.

SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE

BEACON WIRING
The beacon is battery powered and is centered by a ESP32 microcontroller which receives GPS data and transmits it wirelessly.
